For example, if a permanent with “cumulative upkeep <img src="/Handlers/Image.ashx?size=small&amp;name=1&amp;type=symbol" alt="1" align="absbottom" />” has three age counters on it when its cumulative upkeep ability triggers, it gets another age counter and then its controller chooses to either pay <img src="/Handlers/Image.ashx?size=small&amp;name=4&amp;type=symbol" alt="4" align="absbottom" /> or sacrifice the permanent.
